In Christ
You were never meant to earn what Christ has already given you.
It is possible to love God deeply and still live as though you have something to prove.
This September, we are making room to return to the heart of the gospel: what Christ has done, who we are because we belong to Him, and how that changes the way we live.

Why this study
Come and rest in what Christ has already done.
Maybe you know the language of grace, but still struggle to believe that you are fully accepted by God.
Maybe your relationship with Him has quietly become a life of trying harder, doing better and wondering if it is enough.
There is another way to live.
For four weeks, we will return to Scripture and explore what it means to be in Christ: saved by grace, united with Jesus, walking by the Spirit and held by the hope of glory.
The Christian life is not a system to master. It is life in Christ.
This study is an invitation to stop living towards acceptance and begin living from what Christ has already done.
The curriculum
Four weeks. Four truths for life in Christ.
The Christian life contains real tensions: between grace and effort, identity and behaviour, flesh and Spirit, present suffering and future glory. This study will help you understand these tensions without losing sight of the One in whom they are finally resolved.
Week 1
Saved by Grace Through Faith
See why salvation begins, continues and is completed by grace.
You will explore
- The finished work of Christ
- Acceptance apart from performance
- Freedom from religious striving
- The rest we receive in Christ
Week 2
Union with Christ
Discover what it means to belong to Jesus and have your life hidden with Him in God.
You will explore
- Your identity in Christ
- Living from acceptance
- Belonging to Jesus
- How union with Christ shapes everyday life
Week 3
The Flesh and the Spirit
Understand the struggle that remains in the Christian life and how the Spirit forms us through it.
You will explore
- The reality of spiritual conflict
- Flesh and Spirit
- Why struggle does not mean failure
- Learning to walk by the Spirit
Week 4
Christ in Us, the Hope of Glory
Lift your eyes to the hope of what God has promised to complete.
You will explore
- Suffering and Christian hope
- The already and the not yet
- Confidence in God's faithfulness
- The glory promised to those in Christ

A note from Eva
Come and know God more deeply.
There are questions and experiences that are particular to women, and Scripture meets us with wisdom and grace in every season.
But The Study Room has always been about something deeper than simply studying what the Bible says about women.
We want to know God.
To know who He is, understand what He has done and allow His truth to shape every part of our lives.
That is what I hope this study will make room for.
I would love to welcome you.

From the room
Stories from the room
God loves me. He loves me so much, and He is mindful of me.

The leading of the Spirit will always align with God's Word.

I will sit at His feet and keep learning, until it is not my will but His that is at work in me.
