The slow work of formation
Formation is not an event but a direction. The most significant changes in a life with God rarely announce themselves. They accumulate, reading by reading, prayer by prayer, conversation by conversation, until one day you notice you are not who you were.
We are impatient people in a hurry to become. But Scripture speaks of growth in the language of seasons and soil, of trees planted by streams of water. The Study Room exists because we believe that slowness is not a flaw in the process. It is the process.
So we make room. We sit with texts longer than feels productive. We ask questions that do not resolve in a single evening. And we trust that He who began a good work will carry it on to completion.
